چکیده

This paper presents the generation and characterization of femtosecond pulses utilizing graphene-polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA) thin-film saturable absorber (SA), which is subjected to different lengths single-mode fiber (SMF) in an erbium-doped laser cavity. The graphene/PMMA-SA prepared by using a simple transfer procedure on ferrule. By increasing SMF length from 0 4 m, corresponding group velocity dispersion entire cavity estimated change ?0.033 ?0.121 ps2. Analysis pulse performance shows that width behavior varies 820 fs 710 against lengths. Similarly, repetition rate spectral bandwidth can be adjusted 12.5 10.0 MHz, 8.2 5.6 nm, respectively. A comprehensive discussion presented, contribute widening knowledge operation graphene-based soliton mode-locked lasers based management controlling length.

Dispersion management in a harmonically mode-locked fiber soliton laser.

Harmonically mode-locked Er-fiber soliton lasers have become a reliable source of high-repetition-rate picosecond pulses in high-speed communications and photonic analog-to-digital conversion systems because of their low-noise, dropout-free operation. We have fabricated such a laser with a strongly dispersion-managed cavity and modeled its operation, and we have found that dispersion management...

Pulse dynamics in carbon nanotube mode-locked fiber lasers near zero cavity dispersion.

We numerically and experimentally analyze the output characteristics and pulse dynamics of carbon nanotube mode-locked fiber lasers near zero cavity dispersion (from 0.02 to ~-0.02 ps(2)). We focus on such near zero dispersion cavities to reveal the dispersion related transition between different mode-locking regimes (such as soliton-like, stretched-pulse and self-similar regimes). Using our pr...

Mode-locked ytterbium fiber lasers.

A compact fiber laser is demonstrated with use of a Gires-Tournois compensator and a short length (2-4 cm-long) of highly doped ytterbium (Yb) fiber providing net anomalous group-velocity dispersion. With use of a novel semiconductor saturable absorber mirror based on GaInNAs structure, self-started 1.5-ps-pulse mode-locked operation was obtained at 1023 nm with a repetition rate of 95 MHz. A m...

Solitons in dispersion-managed mode-locked lasers

The dynamics and propagation of ultrashort optical pulses generated in mode-locked lasers are investigated. The mode locking process depends crucially on the gain and loss mechanisms inside the cavity. Analytical models are introduced that include dispersion management and gain-loss terms with energy and power saturation. Comparisons of the pulse dynamics with previously well-known models are d...
